■ステイトメント■
私の制作はこれまで、セル画技術を引用しながら、アニメーションがはらむ「時間の断片と持続」と「現実と虚構」の関係を問い直してきました。
ストーリーを排除して運動のみに焦点を当てる試みや、背景との関係性を強調する作品を通して、セル画が単なるノスタルジックな素材回帰ではなく、
現代における美術的・批評的な装置として立ち上がり、機能し得ることを探求してきました。
その過程で、見えない労働や女性の役割、社会の分業構造といった問題が不可避に結びついていることがわかってきました。
当時のアニメーション制作において、仕上（しあげ：原画や動画で描かれた線をセルに写し取り、色を着ける工程）を担った多くの人々は女性たちでした。
そのうち少なくない数の人が、結婚や出産、あるいは雇用形態の不安定さから、その労働の痕跡を残すことなく匿名性の中に埋もれていきました。
この不可視性は、あらゆる労働の歴史においても繰り返し現れてきました。女性の労働史や社会的役割がいかに忘却されてきたかという問いは、現代においてもなお切実です。
今回の展覧会は、「透明なものがどのように知覚され、また美として立ち上がるのか」という問いを中心に据えています。
透明なものを見ようとする行為は、不可視なものとの格闘であり、社会の中で周縁化されてきた存在や、忘却されてきた存在に光を当てる行為でもあります。
本展は、透明な層に潜む痕跡を掘り起こし、失われた声を呼び覚ます旅への出発点となります。
My practice has consistently reexamined the relationship between “fragments of time and duration”
and “reality and fiction” inherent in animation, while referencing cel animation techniques.
Through the attempt to eliminate narrative to focus solely on movement,and artworks emphasizing the relationship with backgrounds,
I have explored how cel animation can emerge and function not merely as a nostalgic return to material,
but as an artistic and critical apparatus in the contemporary context. In this process,
I came to understand that issues like invisible labor, women's roles, and societal division of labor are inextricably linked.
In animation production at that time, many of those responsible for finishing
(the process of tracing lines drawn on key or in-between frames onto cels and applying color) were women.
A significant number of them disappeared into anonymity without leaving traces of their labor, due to marriage, childbirth,
or the instability of their employment status. This invisibility has repeatedly surfaced throughout the history of all labor.
The question of how women's labor history and social roles have been forgotten remains urgent even today.
This exhibition centers on the question: “How do transparent things become perceived and rise as beauty?”
The act of trying to see the transparent is a struggle with the invisible,
and it is also an act of shining light on those marginalized within society and those forgotten.
This exhibition serves as a starting point for a journey to unearth
the traces hidden beneath transparent layers and to awaken lost voices.
