■ステイトメント■
人や人工的な物などをモチーフに彫刻を制作している。
人と物の形は言うまでもなく異なる。人の形には生命があるように感じられるが、人工的な物にはそれは感じられない。
しかし彫刻を制作していくうちに、単純にどちらに生命感があるか、はっきり言い切れないと思うようになってきた。
たとえば物である風船を膨らませると、ふくらませた頬のような張りと窄まった唇のような動きを持つ形に変わる。
また、服を着た人の形は、服によって体のラインが変化し、生き物としての有機的な形だけではなく、また違った質を帯びてくる。
物の形は死んだように静止していると見えても、動きや軸、リズムなどを見ようとすれば、生命感を感じとることができるようになる。
形はただ凹凸があるだけではなく、目には見えないこれらの要素がその凹凸を繋いでいるのだ。
目には見えないところにある繋がりを感じながら、生きているかいないかに関係なく対象を捉える。
こうした視点を持つことは、人と物、生者と死者、のように、交わることが難しい遠く離れた存在同士を繋げてくれるひとつの方法だと、私は思う。
Create sculptures with motifs inspired by people and artificial objects.
The shapes of people and objects are inherently different.
The form of a person can evoke a sense of life, while in artificial objects, this may not be felt.
However, as I continue to create sculptures,
I've come to realize that it's not straightforward to say which has a sense of vitality.
For example, when you inflate an object like a balloon, it transforms into a shape with tension,
resembling inflated cheeks and narrowed lips.
Also, the form of a person wearing clothes changes as the clothing alters the body's lines.
It takes on not only an organic form as a living being but also a different quality.
While the form of an object may appear still, almost lifeless,
observing aspects like movement, axis, and rhythm reveals a sense of vitality.
The form is not just about visible bumps and hollows,these unseen elements connect the bumps and hollows.
By feeling the connections in the unseen aspects,
I perceive the subject, regardless of whether it is living or not.
I believe that having such a perspective is one way to connect seemingly distant entities,
such as people and objects, the living and the deceased.
以人和人工物为主题制作雕塑作品。
人和物的形态显然是不同的。
人的形象给人以生命的感觉，而人工物则没有这种感觉。
然而，随着雕塑的制作，他发现很难断言哪一方具有生命感。
例如，充气的气球会变成有張力的脸颊和收缩的嘴唇的形状。
另外，穿着衣服的人的形状，由于服装的变化，不仅仅是有机的生物形状，还带有不同的质感。
物体的形状可能看起来像是静止不动的死物，但如果尝试观察其运动、轴线和节奏，就能感受到生命的存在。
形状不仅仅是凹凸，还包含了眼睛无法看到的元素，这些元素连接在凹凸之间。
通过感受看不见的连接，无论是生或死，都能够捕捉到对象。
我认为，拥有这样的视角是连接那些难以交汇的远离存在，比如人与物、生者与死者之间的一种方式。
