■ステイトメント■
桜井とtopiは生活を共にするパートナーである。
生活を共にする中で、互いに影響を与え合い、価値観を共有し、それが制作にも変化をもたらしている。
桜井は近年、topiが熱心に集めている小物やアンティークをモチーフにすることが増えた。
自分にはない感性によって選択された小物類や物の配置は、彼にとっては新鮮であり、徐々に愛着も沸くのである。
また、彼は多元的リアリティーというテーマのもと、制作・研究を行なっている。
具体的には、その場でスケッチを行い、イーゼルを立ててキャンバスに描いていく手法を用いている。
その制作過程では、現実の止めどない変化に振り回され、不安定な状況下に陥ることもしばしば見られる。
彼の作品群は、様々な弊害とも言える環境に晒されながらも現実と対峙し、
他者とのコミュニケーションや世界の捉えようのなさを内包する多元的リアリティーについての思考の痕跡とも言える。
topiは近年、桜井の中心的な制作テーマである、現実を実際に観察しながら描くという手法に影響を受け、
ファンタジックな作風の中にも観察を伴った表現が見受けられるようになった。
結果的に、以前よりも絵に客観性が生まれ、鑑賞者の共感を得ることに成功している。
また、彼女は記憶を留めるということを制作テーマとしている。
記憶とは外部からの刺激により消失したり、時間を経て曖昧になったりするものだ。
この記憶の曖昧さを、エンカウスティークという古典技法を用いることで、表現している。
本展覧会タイトルの「Lint of life」は「暮らしの糸くず」という言葉を英語訳したものだ。
展示されている作品群には、主に二人の共同生活の中にある何某かの「糸くず」が登場する。
また、今回は二人でひとつの絵を描くという初の共同制作に挑戦した。
一見すると、全く異なる二人の作家だが、展示空間から、それぞれの考え方の違いや類似点を感じ取り、楽しんでほしい。
Sakurai and topi are partners who live together.
While living together, they influence each other and share values,

In recent years, sakurai has increasingly used topi's collection of accessories and antiques as motifs.
The arrangement of small items and objects selected by a sensibility that
he does not have is fresh to him, and he gradually grows attached to it.

Specifically, he uses the method of sketching on the spot and drawing on the canvas with an easel.
In the process of making these works, they are often at the mercy
of constant changes in reality and fall into unstable situations.
In spite of being exposed to an environment that could be described as a variety of harmful effects,
his works confront reality, and can be said to be traces of thinking about
the pluralistic reality that involves communication with others and a lack of understanding of the world.
In recent years, topi has been influenced by sakurai's central creation theme,
which is the method of drawing while actually observing the reality,
and the expression accompanied by observation can be seen in the fantastic style.
As a result, the painting is more objective than before, and succeeds in gaining the sympathy of the viewer.
She is also working on the theme of remembering.
Memory is something that disappears due to external stimuli or becomes ambiguous over time.
This ambiguity of memory is expressed by using the classical technique of encaustique.
The title of this exhibition "Lint of life" is an English translation.
In the works on display, some sort of "lint" from the two people's lives mainly appears.
Also, this is the first time that the two of them have tried to create a single artwork together.
At first glance, these two artists may seem completely different,
but we hope that visitors will enjoy the differences and similarities
in their ways of thinking in the exhibition space.
樱井和topi是一起生活的伙伴。在共同的生活中，他们互相影响，分享价值观，这也给创作带来了变化。
近年来，樱井越来越多地以topi热衷收集的小东西和古董为主题。

topi是近年来樱井的中心制作主题，受到一边实际观察现实一边描写的手法的影响，在幻想风格中也能看到伴随着观察的表现。
结果，画比以前更加客观，成功地引起了观赏者的共鸣。此外，她还以记忆为创作主题。
记忆会因为外界的刺激而消失，也会随着时间的流逝而变得模糊。这种记忆的模糊性，是通过“蜡画法”这一古典技法来表现的。
本次展览会的题目“Lint of life”是“生活的细丝”的英文翻译。
展出的作品中，主要是两人共同生活中的某些“细丝”。
另外，这次两人也挑战了首次共同创作——画一幅画。
乍一看是完全不同的两位作家，但希望大家能从展示空间中感受到他们想法的不同和相似之处，并乐在其中。
